Lyons Valley - oder - überraschende Höhenmeter / Lyons Valley – or – surprise climbs

Auf dieser Tour, ich habe mich ein wenig bei Google Earth umgeschaut, begegnen mir sehr wenige Autos. Der Nachteil aber sind die Höhenunterschiede, die ich auf dieser Tour zu überwinden habe und die ich so nicht erwartete. Die Tour dauert also 3:30h statt der geplanten 2:30h und ich bin am Ende schlagsKO.

On day 5 I prepre my tour east more throughly but still encounter unexpected difficulties. A search on Google Earth turned up a quite promising route through the Lyons Valley which I find without much of a problem. The surprise is that the terrain I encounter is quite hille and the tour takes 3h30min instead of the planned 2h30min. Nonetheless it’s beautiful backcountry there.
